BC is handing out $16 million in internet grants to improve connectivity in Northern remote, & Indigenous areas.
July 1st marks the next round of project applications, with 70% of rural communities without broadband internet.

However, government has no plans to bring WiFi hot-spots along the Highway of Tears.
