Police looking for suspect in cyclist collision

A cyclist remains in hospital after a collision Saturday morning.

Around 10am on University Way near the University of Northern BC, a vehicle hit the cyclist but left the scene before police could find them.

“We are asking to speak with anyone who has any information related to the vehicle – identified by witnesses as a black 2016 to 2018 GMC Sierra 1/2 tonne pick up truck – to call the Prince George RCMP at 250-561-3300 or call their local CrimeStoppers,” says Staff Sergeant Steve McLeod in a statement.

“If you were involved in this collision, we ask that you do the right thing and come forward and speak with our investigators”.

Prince George Municipal Traffic Section continues its investigation with assistance from the North Districts Integrated Collision Analyst/Reconstructionist Service.

No further information has been released.
