Stolen Prince George pick-up truck recovered after collision with police vehicle

No injuries were reported after a Police Dog Services (PDS) vehicle helped stop a speeding pick-up truck Friday night in Northern BC.

After 5PM, a Prince George officer saw the Ford F-350 coming down erratically on Highway 97, learning the vehicle was stolen out of the Northern capital, along with its Alberta license plates.

They alerted General Duty and Traffic Services in Williams Lake to set up roadblocks with spike belts, which eventually deflated all four tires before colliding with the PDS vehicle, bringing the truck to a complete stop.

Three suspects inside fled on foot, but were eventually caught and arrested, and RCMP sat they are all well-known to them.
