Baseball teams, soccer squads, and other outdoor enthusiasts will gear up for the 2018 summer season later this week.
Starting Friday, the City of Prince George will be opening almost all of its sports fields and ball diamonds after a lengthy winter forced delays.
However, Joe Martin, Volunteer, and Blackburn Parks will still be closed for public use.
According to City crews, these fields are still vulnerable to turf and root damage and any activity could worsen conditions or cause injury to players.
Local residents will be told at a later time when they’ll be ready for action.
