Seven cent increase expected at the pumps ahead of long weekend

Gas prices are already causing frustration at the pumps and it’s predicted to get even worse.

With the long weekend around the corner Gasbuddy.com Senior Petroleum Analyst Dan McTeague says we can expected an increase of seven cents tonight or tomorrow.

He says with the gas prices the way they are it’s actually a deal for people.

“The bottom line is that 131 is a bargain for anyone in Prince George or Vanderhoof. You’re basically getting prices at the same price the gas station is buying it for.”

There is a slight chance price might not go up added McTeague.

“There is still a good chance they could hold out. They may be told by their suppliers not to worry we will use our refinery margins or other ways, keep prices where they are and match Costco.”

McTeague believes the prices will remain high for a while. Right now gas is sitting at 131.9, with CostCo at the lowest with 128.9.
