There’s a new man in charge of the BCHL

Chris Hebb is the new commissioner of the BCHL replacing John Grisdale.

Hebb is a former senior executive with Orca Bay Sports and Entertainment (OBSE) in Vancouver and Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment (MLSE) in Toronto.

The Prince Rupert native has been President of Starting Five Media Consulting Ltd., a company advising sports organizations on business strategy and development.

Clients there included Canada Soccer, Oilers Entertainment Group, U-Sports, Vancouver Whitecaps, Hockey Canada, Curling Canada, and BC Lotteries Corporation.

Grisdale retired after holding the commissioner’s job for 15 years, the longest tenure in league history.
