The UNBC Timberwolves got substantially bigger in the frontcourt for the 2018-19 Canada West men’s basketball season.

The T-Wolves have added Team BC player Spencer Ledoux of Kamloops to their roster.

The six-foot-seven, 235-pound Ledoux is a 2018 graduate of Westsyde Secondary School.

He led the Whundas team to a 31-0 season, before eventually losing in the semi-finals of the ‘AA’ Provincial Championship.

Ledoux averaged a whopping 24 points and 12 rebounds-per-game.

“My biggest strength is my post play, but I am also really comfortable facing the basket and shooting threes. I look forward to contributing to the Timberwolves, and being a positive addition to the team,” said Ledoux in a UNBC news release.

Coach Todd Jordan feels Ledoux’s skill set will be a big boost for the T-Wolves.

“Spencer has a bit of old-school post player in his game which we like. He has a big frame, he has great hands, and a rare maturity to his game for a player his age.”

Ledoux plans to study business while at UNBC.
