The Downtown Pop-up Market runs twice each month in Prince George featuring a variety of over 35 vendors.

It gives them a chance to promote their items and services, in addition to the PG Farmers Market where everything is locally made.

Downtown PG Executive Director Colleen Van Mook says the Pop-up Market gives residents a different shopping experience.

“The downtown pop-up market will invite vendors who might be reselling items that are third party or that are home-based businesses that are not necessarily sourcing their products locally.”

The Pop-up Market is set up near the Farmers Market, which runs weekly, at 2nd Avenue and Quebec Street. The additional vendors can be found in the Columbus Parking Lot.

Van Mook is excited about the opportunities the Pop-up Market presents.

“It really does create a vibrant atmosphere and anybody that happens along and has made a point of coming downtown will see an active area of our downtown and, perhaps, there will be a future where we can make this a regular event.”

Remaining Pop-up Market dates are July 21st, August 11th and 25th, and September 8th and 22nd. The Pop-up Market concludes at the end of September.
