A man in Valemout is in custody after an assault Monday.
A 61 year-old woman living on the 1000 block of 14th Ave. reported the assault to police just after 12:00 p.m..
Half an hour later, a suspect well-known to police and the victim turned himself in.
The 41 year-old man will appear in court at a later date.
The woman was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
