One man is dead and another is in custody following an incident in Quesnel over the Billy Barker Days weekend.
RCMP say they received a report on Saturday that multiple individuals had been stabbed.
Upon arrival at a Hilborn Road home, police say they found a deceased 48-year-old man and a 52-year-old woman suffering from serious injuries.
She was taken to G.R. Baker Hospital, where she remains in critical condition.
RCMP say a 32-year-old male suspect later attended the Quesnel detachment and turned himself in.
The North District Major Crime Unit has been called in to investigate.
Police say they are not looking for any other suspects and that the suspect and the victims were known to each other.
Names have not been released.
