The RCMP say they have been contacted by Capital Security who confirmed it was their representatives being reported to police.
Earlier today, The RCMP sent out a release about a string of suspicious encounters in the city that left homeowners feeling insecure.
They received five separate complaints last week about a man knocking on doors in various parts of the city, claiming to be a security company employee, but not showing any ID.
In all cases, the suspects said the homeowners had subscribed to their company’s services but were eventually turned away.
Investigators have no remaining concerns about the company.
