–The Prince George Spruce Kings play the 2nd game of an 8-game homestand when they entertain the West Kelowna Warriors tonight (Tuesday). West Kelowna won the previous meeting 5-0 November 9th in the Okanagan. The 14-10-0-2 Spruce Kings are 2nd in the BCHL Mainland Division a point behind the Chilliwack Chiefs. The 13-6-0-5 Warriors are 2nd in the Interior Division, 14 points behind Penticton.

–The 13-13 Prince George Cougars have just one game this week; Wednesday when they host the 13-10-1 Regina Pats.
The Cougars are 7th in the WHL Western Conference, a point behind Spokane and Kamloops, two back of Tri-City and one ahead of Portland.

–The 15-2-1 Major Midget Cariboo Cougars host the 13-4-1 Okanagan Rockets Saturday at 7:15pm and Sunday at 11:30am at Kin 1.

–The Provincial High School Volleyball Championships take to the court this week. The D.P. Todd and College Heights Double A boys and the PGSS Triple A boys begin competition Wednesday in Langley. The College Heights and Duchess Park Triple A Girls (in Parksville) and the D.P. Todd Double A Girls (in Mill Bay) take to the court Thursday.

-–In Canada West basketball, the UNBC Timberwolves host the UBC Okanagan Heat Friday at 6 and 8pm and Saturday at 5 and 7pm in their final league games in 2014. The T-wolves are 1-5 in the men’s division and 0-6 in the women’s standings.
