The December Counter Attack has started in the region.
The annual enforcement campaign sees police out doing patrols to make sure people aren’t drinking and driving
ICBC Road Safety Coordinator Diana Pozer says they want to ensure people have a safe holiday season.
“With family and friends and that means planning ahead for a safe ride home if your celebrations include alcohol,” says Pozer, “arrange for a designated driver, call a taxi, use transit or call Operation Red Nose.”

Pozer says on average 22 people are killed in crashes involving impaired driving in North Central BC.
Provincially, 86 people have died because of drunk driving.
