Now that we are in December and the Holiday season is fast approaching, blood donation clinics, have found themselves needing more applicants for donations.
Amy Erickson with Canadian Blood Services talks about the traditional trend in blood supply:
“We usually go into the Holidays being not well booked, However we tend to see strong donations especially around Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, [and] leading up to those days. So generally we are very pleasantly surprised when it comes to later in the Holidays”
She says they have around 240 appointments open in December that still need filling, and to book an appointment just call 1-888-2-DONATE.
