Tri-City Americans 5 Prince George Cougars 1
Beck Warm made 35 saves for the Americans who scored three unanswered goals in the third period.
Josh Curtis scored the only goal for the Cougars, who had their three-game win streak snapped before just 2,162 hometown fans.
Prince George outshot Tri-City 36-28; both teams went zero-for-four (0/4) on the power-play.
Tri-City is 2-0 on an 11-game road trip.
The same two teams play again tonight at the CN Centre.
The 5-6-0-1 Cougars are third in the BC Division, a point ahead of the 5-10 Kelowna Rockets and four points in front of the 3-6-0-1 Kamloops Blazers.

Former NHL defenceman Adam Foote has taken over as head coach of the Kelowna Rockets.
He replaced the fired Jason Smith.
The 47-year-old Foote has no head coaching experience.
The Rockets beat the Swift Current Broncos 3-2 Tuesday in their first game since the change.

The 10-5-0-1 Prince George Spruce Kings play Friday in Trail, Saturday in Wenatchee and Sunday in Salmon Arm.
Spruce Kings forward Ben Brar is the BCHL Player of the Week after posting six points, including four goals, in three games.
The 19-year-old Brar leads Prince George with 16 points in 16 games and is third in the league with 11 goals.
The Spruce Kings are third in the Mainland Division, two points behind Coquitlam and five back of the Chilliwack Chiefs.

The 3-3-2 Major Midget Cougars host the Kootenay Ice Saturday afternoon at 4 and Sunday morning at 10:30.
UNBC TIMBERWOLVES:

After posting back-to-back shutouts, UNBC Timberwolves goalie Brooke Molby is the Canada West women’s second star of the week.
Molby finished the regular season with a .836 save-percentage, good for second among all keepers in the conference.
UNBC (3-8-3) faces the Manitoba Bisons (6-5-3) Friday in the play-in game at UBC, with the winner to play UBC Sunday in the quarter-finals.

Both the UNBC men’s and women’s basketball teams begin their Canada West regular season on the road this weekend.
The Timberwolves visit the Mount Royal Cougars Friday and Saturday night.
