DST ends Sunday, don’t forget to turn back the clocks

Daylight Savings Time ends this weekend as Prince George residents will turn their clocks back one hour.

Local residents are hopeful this will be the last time they have to worry about springing forward and falling back.

“I think we should get away from it entirely. It’s a waste of time, you wake up early for work and come back early for work but it’s still night time. There’s no difference, it’s only one hour,” said one man.

Another added, “you just get used to the time getting up and then, for me, it just wrecks my morning for months and I don’t like it. It should stay one time that’s it.

“We should get rid of it,” believes one PG woman.

“I would prefer the time to stay the same, it is a little inconvenient at times.”

Premier John Horgan has said there is no plan to make any changes to DST.

Clocks will officially fall back at 2am Sunday.
