Pair of thieves make off with ATM on busy street

A pair of thieves stole an ATM from a cleaning business in Prince George over the weekend.

According to the PG RCMP, the incident took place at around 8:45 pm on Sunday the 11th at a business on the corner of 15th Avenue and Johnson Street.

Surveillance images of the incident show two masked men smashing a glass door, entering the business and stealing the ATM. The suspects fled the area in a pick-up truck before police were called.

One of the males was wearing brown work overalls and red gloves, the second was wearing grey work overalls and white & black gloves.

The pair were driving a grey, four-door Dodge RAM 1500 pickup with running boards, factory rims, split dual exhaust, and a trailer hitch. The truck had a large scrape on the passenger side front door.

Police say the incident occurred on a “major thoroughfare” in the community, and many vehicles drove by while the men backed the vehicle up to the door, smashed the glass and loaded the machine into their truck.
