A new board chair has been chosen for School District 57.
Newcomer Tony Cable has been elected as the new chairperson, replacing Trustee Sharel Warrington.
Cable says while he is a new trustee, he has a lot of experience and background.
“I’ve chaired a lot of different committees,” says Cable, “so I feel I’m prepared to do the job, and I think working with the team we have and with their help I think we can be a good board this year.”

Cable says he plans on being an inclusive and enjoys working with this team.
Trustee Brenda Hooker will serve as vice chair.
