College Heights falls just short of a medal at volleyball Provincials

After reaching the semi-finals, the College Heights Cougars settled for fourth place at the 16-team B.C. double-A boys volleyball championship in Langley.

The Cougars lost a close semi-final against the George Elliot Coyotes of Lake Country.

College Heights fell 17-15 in the fifth and deciding set.

The Cougars had no gas left in the tank for the bronze-medal match which they lost 3-0 to Langley Christian.

Abbotsford Christian beat George Elliot 3-1 in the final.

The Kelly Roadrunners finished seventh, winning the 7th/8th place match 2-0 over Richmond Christian.

The Kelly Roadrunners also competed at the B.C. double-A girls volleyball championship in Burnaby.

They lost 2-0 to John Barsby in the 13th/14th place game.

The Roadrunners lone victory came against Smithers, who took 15th.

The Cedars Christian Eagles finished 19th out of 20 teams at the B.C. single-A girls volleyball championship in Nanaimo.
