Prince George RCMP found a man outside a residence in the area of the 700 block of Johnson Street Friday night suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound. Police were called to the area at around 5pm for a report of possible shots fired.
The 30-year-old man was transported to hospital where he died shortly after. No suspects were found, however, police ‘are confident’ this was a targeted attack and the general public is not at risk.
The RCMP’s Serious Crime Unit has been called in to lead the investigation.
Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or have outdoor surveillance images is being asked to contact the detachment.
