The Cariboo Cougars beat the Swift Current Legionnaires 3-2 in their final game, but it wasn’t enough to advance to the quarter-finalsĀ at the Mac’s international midget hockey tournament in Calgary.
Cariboo finished its four round robin games with two wins, a loss and a tie.

The Cougars lost 4-2 to Lethbridge AAA Midget Hurricanes, beat the Brampton (Ontario) 45s 4-3 and tied the Calgary Midget AAA Flames 2-2 in their other three games.
The results are in, and we are out. 2-1-1 with an even goals for/against just wasnt quite enough to make the cut. That’s to everyone for the support this week, regular league play resumes later this month. #defendthenorth

The 16-5-3 Major Midget Cougars are in second place in the BCMML, five points behind the (19-3-1-1) Fraser Valley Thunderbirds.
Cariboo will play its next league game January 19th in Fort St. James against the third-place (14-5-3-2) Vancouver NE Chiefs.
