The Prince George Cougars had no trouble blasting off against the Kelowna Rockets again.

The Cougars scored 11 goals in the weekend sweep of Kelowna after tallying just 11 goals in their previous eight games.

Saturday night, before nearly 3,000 fans at CN Centre (2,971), the Cats skunked the Rockets 4-0.

GAA to 2.94 and increase his save % t0 .905.

The Rockets had no answer for the line of Ethan Browne (3 assists), Josh Maser (1 goal, 1 assist) and Vladislav Mikhalchuk (2 goals) for the second straight game.

They combined for seven points, a day after they racked eight points in Friday’s 7-2 victory over the Rockets
Browne (1 + 2), Maser (2 + 0) and Mikhalchuk (0 + 3).

Mikhalchuk leads the team in scoring with 33 points (15 goals) in 41 games while Maser top the Cats in goals with 16.

Captain Josh Curtis scored a fluke goal and Cole Beamin recorded his first WHL point.

With the sweep, Prince George is 6-1-1 against Kelowna in the season-series.

The two teams play one final time Feb. 8th in Kelowna.
