Williams Lake RCMP is looking for the public’s assistance regarding a late night shooting.
Police continue to investigate an incident north of Lake City on Sunday evening where the area was taped off and access to the break check was closed.
“We’re looking for some information from the public who may have witnessed anything suspicious anywhere between the hours of 8 pm and 11 pm Sunday night,” said Cst. Joel Kooger.
“The incident occurred up at the Highway 97 brake check just North of Williams Lake where a male sustained a gunshot wound.”
Kooger adds the male sustained non-life threatening injuries which were treated at the Cariboo Memorial Hospital.
Police say the investigation remains in the early stages and there is no further information to release at this time.
