The Winnipeg (Kootenay) Ice won the WHL Bantam Draft lottery today (Wednesday).
The Ice will get the first overall pick in the Bantam Draft which will be held on Thursday, May 2nd in Red Deer.
Winnipeg had the second-best chance of winning the lottery (at 23.8 %).
The Prince George Cougars will have the second pick (thanks to a Josh Anderson trade with the Swift Current Broncos) and the fourth pick.
The Cougars finished 19th out of 22 teams in the 2018-19 overall standings with a record of 19-41-5-3.
The WHL Bantam Draft Lottery involved the six non-playoff teams (Swift Current, Winnipeg, Regina, Prince George, Kelowna, and Brandon).
The lottery used a total of 21 balls.
