PRIDE CELEBRATION: Pride Parade and Festival

July 6 @ 11:00 am - 3:00 pm

This is a family friendly event and the whole community is invited! The parade starts at 11 AM. The parade will start on the corner of 2nd and George Street and weave throughout downtown until it ends over at City Hall. The festival will have vendors, live music, activities, and food available . The Festival will start at 11 AM and goes until 3 PM. The festival will take place beside Four Seasons pool near the Terry Fox statue.

To build community we are inclusive in drum ceremony as we use it to learn and promote Indigenous and Dakelh languages, knowledge, cultures and histories. Everyone is welcome to our Open Drum Circles on Sundays to participate, share, dance, learn or observe. On sunny days we meet in Lheidli T'enneh Memorial Park. On cloudy days we meet at the Omineca Arts Centre. 369 Victoria Street.

Surface design for fabrics Camps for Children and Youth. Ideal age 10yrs+ | 4 hour per day, 5 days | 4 projects over 5 days Exception: if the child is 8 yrs (minimum age) and experienced with sewing then we can accept from 8yrs. Learn dyeing and designing fabric prints. Activities will include natural indigo dying, shibori resist patterns, block/screen printing and tie dye.
