Talk about a hole-in-one.
Over 47-thousand dollars was raised during the Glow-in-the-Dark golf tournament hosted by Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Northern BC.
Communications Manager, Jane Gauthier is thrilled with the amount raised.
“That is much higher than we were projecting. Last year, we did about 30-thousand so this is a lot higher. We knew that the event was going to be popular but just compared to last year we were able to double our capacity and it sold out within two weeks.”
The fundraiser was held Friday and Saturday from the Alder Hills and Pine Valley golf clubs.
The money will go towards programming at the non-profit.
