BC’s Lieutenant governor has been visiting Northern communities throughout this week.
The Honourable Judith Guichon will soon be in Prince George for many Canada Games events, and is already halfway through her 7 day visit to the North.
She says bright young students have been the highlight of her trip so far:
“When I see their level of engagement, and the choirs and listen to them and see the pride, I know that we are in good shape in British Columbia and Canada because we’ve got some awesome young people coming up”
She will be joining Governor General David Johnston in the closing ceremonies, and will be handing out a number of medals during the games as well.
