Day 1 of the Community Christmas Fundraiser hosted by Vista Radio and the St. Vincent De Paul Society is well underway.
Organizer Bernie Goold says she couldn’t be more pleased with the start. “It is amazing to see people dropping by this cold morning and handing off gift cards and cash donations. It warms your heart to see people getting out of bed and thinking about others.”
The support will go a long way for someone this holiday season according to Goold.
“People who are underemployed or on EI that just simply don’t have the money to buy anything with some of them asking for just turkey and toys but they will get a hamper thanks to the generosity of the people who support this.”

The two-day fundraiser runs until Thursday evening.
