The Cariboo Cougars suffered a rare sweep this weekend losing to the VNE Chiefs.
On Saturday, the Cougars fell 2-1 with Ty Kolle scoring the long goal in a losing cause.
Juliano Santalucia and Ryan Suzukovich potted the goals for VNE.
Marcus Allen made 31 saves in defeat.
Hunter Floris and Daine Dubois gave Cariboo a 2-0 early in the opening period on Sunday morning but that was quickly snuffed out before the end of the period when Mitchell Booth cut the deficit in half making it 2-1 after 20 minutes.
VNE responded with the final two goals in the middle frame from Ethan Leyh and Logan Bromhead slipped a pair past Cougars goalkeeper Zack Wickson.
Cariboo drops to 23-4-1-0 on the season and will participate in another showcase event in Richmond next weekend when they face off against the South Island Royals.
