CN Centre changing ticket providers

Grabbing your tickets for CN Centre events will look different moving forward.

The Prince George Cougars’ contract with Ticketmaster expired earlier this year. The team opted not to renew, instead partnering with TicketsNorth Enterprises Ltd.

To keep things consistent for both hockey fans and event-goers, City Community Service General Manager Rob Whitwham says Prince George is doing the same.

“The city wasn’t really interested in having a separate box office scenario so we started working with the Cougars and came up with the arrangement.”

TicketsNorth is an owned subsidiary of EDEPRo Sports and Entertainment Ltd., the group that owns the Prince George Cougars. TicketsNorth will use Spectra as its ticketing platform.

Even though the ticket providers are changing, Whitwham says the process of buying tickets for upcoming shows will remain the same.

“You still have the option of going to buy tickets for the Foreigner show at CN Centre either at the box office or, of course, you can do it online as well.”

The Cougars contract with Ticketmaster has already expired; the city’s contract will expire on July 31st.
