RCMP Street Crew, service dog tackle stolen vehicle suspect

A 41-year-old man has been arrested in connection to a stolen vehicle Wednesday morning.

Prince George Mounties pursued the suspect on foot along Highway 97, eventually taken down by members of the Detachment’s Street Crew Section and a service dog.

Police were initially called to reports of a stolen pick-up truck near 18th Avenue and Lyon Street around 8AM, with the man crashing into a cement barrier at the junction of Pine Street and Ford Avenue.

The suspect currently resides in Prince George, but has a known history with police in Houston and Saskatchewan.
