Kings corral Cornwall Colt for 2017-18 season

Local hockey fans will be seeing some height, talent, and smarts on the Spruce Kings’ blue-line in the upcoming season.

Prince George has acquired 6’2” defenceman James Orr from the Cornwall Colts of the Central Canadian Hockey League (CCHL) in exchange for future considerations.

Kings’ General Manager Mike Hawes says the 18-year-old, Quebec native already has an incomparable hockey knowledge.

“He sees the ice well, makes smart plays in the defensive zone, and also joins the rush. He will fit in well with our skilled group of defensemen.”
