Conservatives want answers, as Liberal MLAs expenses pile up

Liberal MLA Mike Morris is taking flack from his BC Conservative leader counterpart.

Morris’ spending habits on accommodation are among the highest of all MLAs, at over $10,000 over a 23 day legislative sitting.

BC Conservative leader Dan Brooks says almost $450 a day on accommodation costs is unacceptable when the taxpayers are on the hook:

“So it would’ve been cheaper for the taxpayer to put this guy in a hotel, I mean, is he staying in the Taj Mahal? This is just an outrageous expenditure of taxpayer money. He’s riding the Liberal gravy train. So he gets elected to the legislature and he thinks its a free ticket to entitlement”

Brooks says other MLAs spent around $5000, pointing out that Nechako Lakes MP John Rustad and Prince George – Valemount’s Shirley Bond spend considerably less over that same time period. Both of whom are in Victoria far more often due to cabinet meetings.

Something going on in the Prince George area you think people should know about?
