Prince George was number one in Canada for 2014’s Relay for Life, thanks in large part to the efforts of a pair of local community leaders.

The two Prince George members of the Relay for life dream team Sarah Trottier and Brent Marshall, raked in $16,000 all in the name of cancer research, and Canadian Cancer society and Team lead Helen Owen spoke about an added incentive:

“One of the exciting opportunities with the Dream team is that the Canadian Cancer Society and Brain Canada have entered into a partnership this year, so for every dollar that was donated to the Dream Team Brain Canada was matching that with an equal amount”

Owen is happy to announce that 2015 will see another Dream Team format take place. Which saw the PG team come together with two other members from across the Province. She also says overall, the Prince George Relay for life brought in $600,000 for cancer research.
