Mastermind Toys chooses Prince George for 68th store

Prince George is a special place for the President of Mastermind Toys.

This weekend the Canadian business opened its 68th store in the shopping plaza near Highway 16 and Ferry Avenue.

“This 68th store means we are the largest (toy) retailer in terms of store count of any retailer in the country,” said President Humphrey Kadaner.

What’s the secret to this success? Kadaner said they work to curate a wide range of specialty toys they believe to be the best on the market.

He added they have been looking at opening up in the City of Prince George for a while.

“There is very healthy toy-spend. In fact, one of the key factors is the toy spend per household and its above average in Prince George.”

The store employees 15 people which Kadaner said will double or even triple come Christmas.
