Sinkhole in Connaught Hill Park

A sinkhole has closed Connaught Hill Park to all vehicle traffic.

A news release from the City of Prince George said the sinkhole is believed to be due to a failed catch basin installed in the early 1970s.

The sinkhole is at the intersection of Connaught Drive and Caine Drive, at the park entrance.

The City expects the park will be closed to traffic for a few days until crews repair the basin.

Residents will be notified once the park is re-opened to traffic.
