Shopper’s Delight: Downtown Pop-up Market is back

The Downtown Pop-up Market is back!

It’s a shopper’s delight as Downtown Prince George announced this week that they’ll be rallying together local entrepreneurs to 2nd Avenue and Quebec Street, right next door to the Prince George Farmer’s Market.

“This is an opportunity for us to collaborate with the Farmer’s Market, where the vendors are all about ‘make it, bake it, and grow it’.” Downtown Prince George Executive Director Colleen Van Mook told MyPGNow. “The Downtown Pop-up Market invites other vendors who might be selling products or home-based businesses that want an opportunity to share their products with the community.”

For two Saturdays each month until the end of September, residents, and visitors to Prince George will find dozens of additional vendors in the Columbus Parking Lot.

The Downtown Pop-up Market will showcase a variety of vendors who will be selling their own creations, as well as quality sourced products.

“You’re going to find everything from Tupperware to jewelry, to clothing, cleaning supplies. Really, just about anything you can think of,” said Van Mook.

The Market will be held on the following dates:

  • June 8 and 22
  • July 6 and 20
  • August 10 and 24
  • September 7 and 21

With its first weekend, Downtown Prince George is expecting to have about 15 vendors participating in the Pop-up Market.

The Prince George Farmer’s Market continues to provide an opportunity for local producers to sell their products directly to the consumer. The Market will be open every Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
