A stroll in the park awaits.
In late May, the City opened Nechako Riverside Park – a new riverfront park on the north side of the Nechako River at the Foothills Boulevard crossing.

Mayor Lyn Hall and members of Council were at the park today (Wednesday) for a tour of the Northern Capital’s latest sightseeing park.
In early 2017, the City finalized its Parks Strategy, which identified riverfront parks and trails as a top priority for the community. Nechako Riverside Park was subsequently enhanced.
The City has invested just over $1 million at the park, providing a canoe launch, picnic tables, parking off of Foothills, washroom facilities, and an accessible trail to the river’s edge.
