Pair charged, one wanted following thefts from RCMP bait vehicle

Prince George RCMP continues their baiting ways.

Charges have been approved by the BC Prosecution Service against two local men for stealing from a bait vehicle set up.

Two local men in their twenties have both been charged with possession of property obtained by crime following their arrest in the early morning hours of June 13. One of the individuals has also been charged with failing to comply with recognizance.

One of the individuals has already pled guilty and has been sentenced to 78 days in jail and one-year probation. The other will appear in court on June 26.

In addition to the use of the bait vehicle, RCMP are hoping the public can help identify another suspect that stole from a bait vehicle recently. The adult male can be seen in images provided by the RCMP rummaging through the vehicle during the early morning of June 10 in Prince George.

The suspect is described as:

  • First Nations male
  • 20 to 30 years of age
  • Short dark hair with a short mustache and goatee
