A pair of local judoists won themselves some hardware while competing in the Canada Cup in Montreal this weekend.
Tami Goto from the Prince George Judo Club won herself a silver medal in the Under-18 48-kilogram class. She then followed it up with a bronze medal on Day 2 in the Under-21 competition.
Koen Heitman from the Hart Judo Club won himself a bronze medal in the Under-18 73-kilogram class. He followed up the performance the following day with a 7th place finish in the Under-21 class.
In total, Team BC won a total of 10 medals on Day 1 alone.
Kimiko Kamstra posted one win and two losses on Day 2 of the competition.
Brooke Corbett finished the competition in the Under-21 class with two losses.
