Prince George man walks after facing break and enter charges

A Prince George man has been released with 18 months probation after being kept in custody for the past year.

last week, 42-year old Leif Birch Myltoft was found guilty in a Prince George Courtroom after facing charges for break and enter and mischief under $5,000.

Myltoft was arrested one year ago on July 2 after police received a report of a home invasion at a residence on the 300-block of Carney Street. It was reported that a man kicked in the door to the residence and began assaulting another man resident before fleeing on foot. Myltoft was arrested a short distance away.

At the time of his arrest, it was reported that he had nearly 100 contacts with Prince George RCMP in 2018, faces numerous charges of break and enter, assault, as well as mischief.
