RCMP try to reunite piece of history with owner

RCMP are asking for the public’s help to track down the owner of a photograph they recovered from a stolen vehicle.

Photo RCMP found in stolen vehicle of young man standing beside a tall table in a uniform (supplied by RCMP)

Cpl. Craig Douglass said it did not belong to the owner of the vehicle so they suspect it was stolen from somewhere else.

“It very well might have some significance. It appears to be 100 years old. I know if I lost something like that I would want to get it back instead of it being discarded.”

The photo depicts a young man standing beside a tall table in an unidentified uniform.

Douglas said although the picture has no monetary value, he suspects it has a lot of sentimental value for someone out there.

“It’s a piece of history we would like to get back to the owners.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Prince George RCMP at (250)561-3300 or go to the front counter at 455 Victoria Street.
