The wet weather continues to dominate the forecast in Prince George and the amount of rain we saw on Wednesday was no exception.
Environment Canada Meteorologist, Louis Kohanyi told MyPGNow.com depending on where you were in the city, the amount of rain residents saw varied quite a bit.
“So the airport reported 13.8 millimeters of rain yesterday while another site reported 21 millimetres of precipitation and a forestry site within the Prince George region saw over thirty-three.”
As for what we can expect today (Thursday), Kohanyi said they don’t anticipate any major thunderstorms to develop.
“It’s still going to be unsettled in the Prince George region as we are looking at a sixty percent of showers with a mix of sun and cloud with the possibility of some thundershowers this afternoon but we’re not expecting to issue any watches with a high of 22 degrees.”
Prince George was under a severe thunderstorm watch for a portion of Wednesday, the skies are expected to clear up tomorrow (Friday) with sunny skies and a high of 24 degrees.
The rain is expected to come back Saturday and Sunday.
