Missing man’s body discovered

RCMP confirm the remains of Prince George resident Regnald Percy Waite were found near the John Hart bridge.

The remains of the 68-year-old were discovered by a CN Rail worker crew yesterday (Tuesday) afternoon, approximately half a kilometre west of the bridge.

Police and the BC Coroners Service identified the remains.

Waite was reported missing almost a year ago on August 30, 2018, and was last seen in Prince George on August 25.

At the time of his disappearance, an RCMP release said it was unusual behavior for Waite to go missing and his home showed no signs that he planned to leave.

Although the investigation is continuing, RCMP said foul play is not suspected.
