“Dire situation” for well-respected community volunteer

With a home in need of major repairs, the community of Prince George is stepping in to give back to a man who had dedicated the last 30 years to the Goodsir Nature Park In Prince George.

Jim Good, who has been using his own money for the upkeep of the park for the last 30 years recently suffered two major heart attacks.

John Brink, President, and CEO of Brink Forest Products said Jim Good has sacrificed his quality of life to care for the park.

“He had a number of things (needing to be updated). His heating system was not working, water was not working, the roof was leaking, and a number of other things that made it hard on him and his wife.”

Brink added the money will also go towards getting the couple’s bills up to date.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to help with what organizers are calling a dire situation.

Brink has pledged to match all funds raised up to $5000.
