Both division leaders, Hamilton and Winnipeg are 5-1.

UPDATE AT NOON:

Tiger-Cats QB Jeremiah Masoli left the game in the first quarter and will be out for the remainder of the season with a torn ACL in his left knee.

Week seven of the CFL season concludes tonight with the (2-3) Saskatchewan Roughriders at the (1-5) BC Lions (4:00 PM).

The Lions are 0-2 at home this season while the Riders are 0-2 on the road.

PG LACROSSE:

The Prince George champion Westwood Pub Devils and Port Coquitlam posted lopsided victories on the opening day of the Sr C Lacrosse Provincials/Glen “Moose” Scott Invitational at Kin 1.

The Devils skunked Northland Nissan Assault 12-0 and Port Coquitlam whipped the Vancouver Island (Victoria/Saanich) Arrows 10-2.

The round-robin continues today with the top two teams in the final Sunday afternoon at 1:30.

UPDATE AT NOON:

The Prince George Posse finished 2-2 in the round-robin at the Provincial midget B lacrosse championship in Langley.

The Posse whipped Saanich 12-3 today (Saturday).

Earlier, PG lost 7-5 to Oceanside (Thursday) and 3-1 to Port Moody (Friday morning) before posting an 11-9 victory over Langley (Friday afternoon).

MLB:

Tampa Bay Rays  3  Toronto Blue Jays  1

The (39-66) Jays are 1-3 on a six-game homestand.

The (59-47) Rays lead the AL second-wild card spot by just half-a-game over the Oakland A’s and Boston Red Sox.
