Big Brothers / Big Sisters PG “Team Up” with TeamBC

A new partnership between Big Brothers / Big Sisters PG & Team BC is building leadership for local kids through sport.

Tim Bennett is the Executive Director for Big Brothers / Big Sisters Prince George and says TeamBC will give an assist to local youth through sports like boxing and swimming during the Winter
Games.

After looking at how the pilot program went, Bennett saw a huge change in the kids over the course of the “Team Up” program.

“We saw kids become more confident, more willing to believe in themselves,” he says. “We saw amazing results, we heard amazing results from parents, from teachers, about how the children came and were really willing to start trying things they may have not been willing to try before.”

The program focuses on youth aged 11 to 13.
