Sun and clear skies ahead for the long weekend

Despite a foggy start to the day, Environment Canada said the rest of Sunday should feature sunny skies and warm temperatures.

Johnson Zhone, a Meteorologist with Environment Canada said Prince George and Vanderhoof have the perfect mix of sun and warm temperatures for the long weekend.

“It’s mainly sunny and even up to Tuesday and Wednesday just a very slight chance of showers later in the afternoon or early in the evening. The temperature starts cooling down later in the week.”

Saturday is expected to be mainly sunny with a high of 25 degrees.

Heading into Saturday evening residents can expect a low of 10 degrees.

Zhone said Monday will be even warmer with a high of 27 degrees and then heading into the evening a low of 15 degrees.

The rest of the week is expected to be a mix of sun and clouds.
