Province’s Auto Crime Team recovers stolen vehicles during visit to Prince George

They stuck true to their name.

Police officers from the BC Integrated Municipal Provincial Auto Crime Team (IMPACT) were in Prince George last week, actively patrolling the city for stolen vehicles.

On July 29, 2019, members of IMPACT located a stolen black 2005 GMC Sierra pickup truck parked in the 1500 block of Endako Street in Prince George; the truck had recently been stolen out of Fort St. James. After a short time, a male entered the truck, drove several blocks, and picked up a female passenger. The two drove to a restaurant in the 4100 block of 15th Avenue, where they were subsequently arrested without incident. A search of the truck revealed three rifles that had been stolen in a break and enter in Fort St. James.

The female passenger was released without charge; however, the 34-year-old man remains in custody and is facing multiple charges.
