Traffic signals activated at Ospika and 22nd Avenue

Crews at the City of Prince George activated the newest set of traffic lights.

On Tuesday, signal lights were flashing red at the intersection of Ospika Boulevard and 22nd Avenue to mark as a four-way stop for the time being.

City Spokesperson, Mike Kellett recently spoke with MyPGNow.com.

“Construction took about two months and it began in June and right now, what drivers will see is the red lights flashing indicating that the intersection is operating as a four-way stop.”

He adds the new intersection will look quite similar to the work that was done to another one, just two years ago.

“It has many of the attributes of the Ferry and Ospika intersection installed in 2017, so it will have that same vehicle detection technology as well as activated crosswalks.”

The lights on Ospika and 22nd will be fully operational on Friday.
